AI مارکیٹ کا خلاصہ
McDonald's plans to spend $8.5B over the next decade to modernize 46,000 stores and expand automation, which investors interpreted as near-term margin and capex pressure, pushing shares down ~5%. Strategically, the company is repositioning menus toward higher-protein, smaller portions amid rising GLP-1 usage and deploying AI-enabled drive-thru ordering to lift accuracy and productivity. Near-term focus remains execution and cost pass-through with franchisees.

McDonald’s said it will invest $8.5 billion over the next decade to modernize restaurants globally, and its shares fell nearly 5% the same day, marking the biggest one-day drop since April 2025. The company’s U.S. president said about 30 million Americans using GLP-1 weight-loss drugs are gravitating toward smaller, higher-protein meals, while company research shows 60 million Americans are actively seeking more protein. McDonald’s also said its AI drive-thru ordering system, Archy, can now take orders in English and Spanish with a 90% accuracy rate.
