Researchers at the Bank for International Settlements (BIS) completed a proof of concept on the XRP Ledger (XRPL) aimed at making official statistical data independently verifiable. The system anchors a cryptographic fingerprint of the data on XRPL rather than storing the raw, sensitive data on-chain.
