Japan’s energy group JERA, together with Dell Technologies and infrastructure firm RHAELM, plans to invest $15B to build a 400MW AI data center in Chiba Prefecture. Apollo Global Management will provide financing support. The project is aimed at meeting AI computing demand and is targeted to begin operations from 2028. Dell will supply related hardware equipment.
