Rocket Lab (RKLB) posted record second-quarter 2026 revenue of $234 million, up 62% year over year, and ended the quarter with $2.36 billion in backlog. The company also won its largest launch contract to date, a $266 million award covering up to 18 suborbital missions for the Space Force, and said it signed more than $1 billion in new contracts during the quarter and the weeks that followed. GAAP gross margin was 36.1% in the quarter, but management guided to 29% to 31% for the third quarter due to expected mix.
