Drift Protocol has opened claims and redemptions for its DFX recovery token on Oct. 1, allowing victims of its April exploit to redeem USDT from the Recovery Pool at about 0.0104 USDT per DFX. At launch, the pool held roughly 3.1 million USDT and Drift set a fixed allocation of 299,500,810.998 DFX, representing nearly 299.5 million USDT of verified losses. Because victims receive one DFX for each USDT of verified loss, the initial rate implied about a 1.04% recovery of the corresponding loss. Redemptions execute as an atomic transaction in which the USDT payment and DFX burn occur together.
