Pro Farmer Crop Tour starts this week as markets watch corn and soybean yield checks across seven states

AI مارکیٹ کا خلاصہ
The Pro Farmer Crop Tour introduces near-term uncertainty for U.S. corn and soybean supply expectations by adding field-measured evidence alongside USDA's Aug. 1 survey-based estimates. Large state-level condition dispersion and recent flooding in the eastern Corn Belt versus drought stress in the west raise the risk of revisions to yield assumptions. Friday's Pro Farmer production ranges can shift positioning across grain and related ag markets.

The annual Pro Farmer Crop Tour begins this week, drawing market attention to on-the-ground yield assessments for corn and soybeans. Recent USDA data showed the U.S. corn crop at 61% good-to-excellent, well below 72% a year earlier, while soybeans were rated 62%, also under last year’s level. The tour will cover seven states including Ohio, Illinois and Iowa that together account for roughly 70% of U.S. corn output, with conditions varying widely by state. Iowa’s corn is rated 78% good-to-excellent, compared with 45% in South Dakota.
