Coinbase said it has added two assets to its Layer-2 network Base: cbHYPE and cbZEC. cbZEC is a bridged version of privacy coin Zcash (ZEC), which has been a long-running token in crypto markets since 2016. The listings are intended to bridge HYPE and ZEC liquidity into the Base ecosystem and support multichain interoperability, letting users trade and use HYPE directly on Base. Base, launched in 2023, has grown into one of the most active Layer-2 networks by transaction volume as Coinbase works to broaden the network’s asset lineup.
