Crypto exchange Bitget said it suffered a security incident at 3 a.m., with total stolen assets of about $3.516 billion. About $1.926 billion of the losses occurred on EVM chains, mainly involving stablecoins and ETH. In the hours after the incident, the stolen stablecoins and other assets were gradually swapped into ETH. As of publication, the hacker’s EVM address holds about 68,500 ETH, worth about $1.84 billion, and the exchange has not disclosed attack details or a response plan.
