Binance said it will stop processing transactions involving HTX and 10 other cryptocurrency platforms starting Aug. 23 to comply with new regulatory and sanctions-related requirements. HTX was included in the European Union’s 21st sanctions package against Russia adopted in July, alongside transaction restrictions targeting 14 crypto-related service providers. The U.S. Treasury also sanctioned Shelbit and Aban Tether Exchange on Aug. 7 over alleged support for Iran’s sanctions evasion, prompting Binance to restrict related transactions.
