Odaily Planet Daily reported that blockchain investigator ZachXBT said CoinEx failed to respond after he flagged activity tied to a Lazarus Group attack on the exchange. ZachXBT claimed the exchange's own funds were laundered back through CoinEx and that he helped coordinate the freezing of the related assets, but received no reply from the platform. He also criticized CoinEx for weak communication around the security incident. CoinEx said early today that it has halted operations and is moving into an orderly liquidation, with withdrawals available through Dec. 22.
