White House Crypto Council Chief Calls for CLARITY Act Passage in September
AI مارکیٹ کا خلاصہ
Comments from the White House Crypto Committee emphasizing urgency to pass the CLARITY Act in September raise expectations for clearer U.S. digital-asset rules. The message frames legislation as the only durable path and signals continued negotiation ahead of a vote, which can reduce regulatory uncertainty and support institutional engagement. Political friction remains a near-term risk, but the administration's push keeps U.S. crypto policy in focus.

ChainThink reported that on Aug. 11 Patrick Witt, director of the White House Crypto Committee, said in a post on X that the U.S. government remains committed to pushing the CLARITY Act to passage in September. Witt said durable rules for the sector can only be established through legislation, adding that the need for clearer regulation is "more urgent than ever."
He faulted Democrats for delaying the bill, arguing the holdup would leave the U.S. further behind in the crypto race and weaken its leadership in global financial markets, national security, and law enforcement efforts to combat crypto-related crime. Witt said the CLARITY Act reflects years of bipartisan collaboration and that Democrats can still influence U.S. digital-asset policy by engaging in the legislative process. He added that the administration will remain open to dialogue and continue talks through the September vote.
