AI مارکیٹ کا خلاصہ
US spot Bitcoin ETFs extended a six-day inflow streak to ~$2.26B, with August inflows already exceeding prior monthly records and AUM nearing $100B. Turnover also surged (weekly ~$22.1B) and IBIT call-option activity hit record volumes, indicating broadening participation via regulated vehicles and derivatives. The combination of fresh creations, higher secondary-market liquidity, and leveraged upside positioning signals strengthened institutional risk appetite for Bitcoin.

US spot Bitcoin exchange-traded funds (ETFs) extended their winning streak to six consecutive trading days on Monday, bringing in another $337.6 million. Total net inflows over the run have reached about $2.26 billion, putting the group on track for its strongest month of 2026.
Data compiled by CryptoRank shows spot Bitcoin ETFs have taken in roughly $2.72 billion so far in August, already topping the prior full-month record of about $1.97 billion set in April. Nearly $1.92 billion of the August total arrived last week, as Bitcoin rallied through $70,000 and pushed toward $80,000. The move continued Tuesday, with Bitcoin trading above $80,000 for the first time since May, lifting its August gain to around 28%.
BlackRock's iShares Bitcoin Trust (IBIT) led the latest wave of demand. IBIT attracted about $1.33 billion last week and another $208.9 million on Monday, representing roughly 62% of Monday's aggregate spot Bitcoin ETF inflows. Fidelity's FBTC ranked next with about $104.6 million.
The surge in buying has started to offset months of softer demand, even as the category remains about $2.57 billion net negative for 2026. August's momentum is the clearest signal so far that capital is returning after earlier drawdowns.
Trading activity has also accelerated sharply. CheckOnChain data shows US spot Bitcoin ETFs generated about $22.1 billion in turnover last week, more than triple the roughly $6.9 billion traded the prior week. Monday added another $5.36 billion in ETF trading volume as Bitcoin's rally continued.
Turnover reflects shares changing hands between investors, while net flows track capital entering or leaving the funds. Both have picked up during the latest advance.
Options activity around IBIT has also intensified. The Kobeissi Letter reported call-option volume on IBIT hit a record 1.58 million contracts on Wednesday, the highest single-day total on record. Call volume stayed above 1 million contracts in each of the three sessions from Wednesday through Friday, while call skew increased by 0.05 points over the period. Kobeissi described it as the largest three-day rise in at least two years and more than triple the average three-day move since January 2025.
Rising call skew suggests traders were willing to pay up for upside exposure relative to downside protection as Bitcoin climbed. The combination of higher ETF turnover and elevated IBIT options activity indicates investors are expressing the rally through multiple layers of regulated markets, not solely through new fund creations.
While the data does not specify whether every trade was institutional, heavier activity in IBIT and other large funds points to broader participation through products and derivatives commonly used by professional money managers.
Inflows combined with Bitcoin's price gains have lifted total assets in US spot Bitcoin ETFs to $98.56 billion, leaving the group about $1.44 billion shy of $100 billion. That reflects a sharp rebound from mid-August, when assets stood near $76.6 billion. Over the six-session stretch, assets have risen by nearly $22 billion—far more than the $2.26 billion of net inflows—showing that most of the jump has come from the appreciation of Bitcoin already held by the funds.
Bitcoin's move from the low-$60,000 range to above $80,000 has boosted the value of ETF holdings at the same time investors resumed allocating fresh capital.
Spot Bitcoin ETFs previously exceeded $104 billion in assets in mid-May before falling as Bitcoin slid and investors withdrew funds. The latest recovery has brought the category within about 1.5% of the $100 billion mark. Another $1.44 billion increase would push assets back above that threshold, with August's inflow surge, higher turnover, and record IBIT call activity giving the rebound support beyond price appreciation alone.
