U.S. spot bitcoin ETFs moved into positive territory for 2026 after pulling in $2.4 billion in the week ended Sept. 25, their biggest weekly haul since October 2025. The last larger weekly inflow was $2.7 billion in the week ended Oct. 10, 2025.
As recently as July 13, year-to-date flows were roughly $5.8 billion in the red. After last week's surge, the group is now about $934.1 million positive for the year, with 2026 flows turning positive on Tuesday.
The 12 publicly traded bitcoin ETFs tracked by SoSoValue took in $999.0 million on Monday, the largest single-day inflow since Oct. 6, 2025. They added $714.7 million Tuesday, $347.0 million Wednesday, $190.6 million Thursday, and $134.5 million Friday. Friday extended the streak to seven straight days of inflows, totaling $3.0 billion since Sept. 17.
BlackRock's IBIT led the week with $1.2 billion in inflows. Its prior weekly high since October 2025 was $1.3 billion in the week ended Aug. 21. Fidelity's FBTC brought in $701.7 million, its strongest weekly total since the week of Sept. 8, 2025. Ark and 21Shares' ARKB added $294.7 million. Morgan Stanley's MSBT drew $203.3 million, its largest weekly inflow since launching in April.
Cumulative net inflows into bitcoin ETFs since launch rose to $57.6 billion, with net assets at $108.4 billion as of Friday. Bloomberg Intelligence's Eric Balchunas tied the $4.6 billion cash inflow to the Treasury Department's plan to increase buybacks of long-dated bonds. ETF analyst Nate Geraci said the funds have taken in $5.3 billion since the Treasury first announced the buybacks, adding that Monday's roughly $1 billion inflow ranked as the ninth-largest on record.
Bitcoin ETF trading volume totaled $15.0 billion for the week, down from $16.2 billion the prior week.
Spot ether ETFs also saw a sharp reversal, attracting $689.9 million over the same period after posting a roughly $140.0 million outflow the week before. They recorded $270.0 million on Monday, their biggest daily inflow since Oct. 7, 2025. BlackRock's ETHA led weekly inflows with $326.2 million, followed by Fidelity's FETH at $174.0 million and Grayscale's Ethereum Mini Trust at $100.3 million. BlackRock's ETHB added $47.5 million.
Ether ETFs were about $1.6 billion positive for the year, with $17.8 billion in net assets and cumulative inflows since launch of $13.9 billion. Trading volume fell to $4.8 billion from $6.9 billion the previous week.
U.S. spot Solana ETFs took in $86.7 million on Friday, their largest single-day inflow since launching in late October 2025. Bitwise's BSOL accounted for $55.7 million of that total. Solana ETFs received $188.2 million for the week versus $199.2 million in their launch week. Combined assets hit a record $1.5 billion on Friday, up from $1.2 billion a week earlier, with BSOL holding about 71% of the total.
Spot XRP ETFs gathered $75.6 million for the week. Separately, Grayscale's Zcash fund briefly topped $1.0 billion in net assets on Thursday.
