U.S. Spot Bitcoin ETFs Draw $2.65B of Net Inflows in September
AI مارکیٹ کا خلاصہ
U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs drew about $2.65B of net inflows in September, the second-largest monthly total since October 2025, reinforcing that institutional demand remains active. Continued inflows early October add support to risk sentiment, while smaller Ethereum ETF inflows and a subsequent one-day outflow highlight divergence. Near-term positioning is likely to stay sensitive to ETF flow persistence and upcoming U.S. labor and inflation data that could shift rate expectations.

U.S. spot Bitcoin exchange-traded funds posted net inflows of about $2.65 billion in September, marking the second-largest monthly intake since October 2025, as institutional interest remained resilient.
Data from SoSoValue showed September inflows eased from $3.52 billion in August, but stayed well above most monthly totals seen over the past year. U.S. spot Ethereum ETFs also attracted $832.43 million in September, down from $1.85 billion in August. The September figure was the second-largest monthly inflow since the products launched in August 2025.
Flows extended into the first trading day of October, with Bitcoin ETFs adding $102.7 million, while Ethereum ETFs recorded $55.4 million of net outflows.
Zeus Research analyst Dominick John told The Block that the continued inflows suggest institutional demand "has not faded," supporting the case for a more durable recovery. He said sustained ETF buying, alongside signs a fourth-quarter bottom may be in place, is improving sentiment and could underpin a more constructive setup into the year-end quarter.
Bitcoin (BTC) rose 3.1% over the past 24 hours to $86,626 as of 1:00 a.m. Eastern Time on Friday, while Ethereum (ETH) gained 1% to $2,735, according to The Block's price page. The Crypto Fear and Greed Index stood at 69, in the greed zone, which John said points to firmer sentiment without reaching extreme levels.
John added that traders will keep tracking ETF flows for signs of sustained institutional participation, while watching upcoming U.S. macro releases. He highlighted the initial jobless claims report due Oct. 8 as another gauge of labor-market conditions, and said inflation prints and Federal Reserve commentary could shift interest-rate expectations.
