SUI Outlook in Focus After 12 Consecutive Weeks of ETF Inflows
AI مارکیٹ کا خلاصہ
News highlights 12 consecutive weeks of nonnegative SUI ETF net flows and a 90-day high in on-chain transactions, indicating sustained institutional accumulation alongside improving network activity. Offsetting factors include Phantom ending Sui support on September 24, slower DeFi TVL versus prior peaks, and a history of outages, which could weigh on near-term user access and sentiment despite supportive flow and activity data.

SUI is back in the spotlight as ETF demand has remained resilient for three straight months, even as price action cooled after a recent test of resistance.
SUI slid to $0.7874 after failing to hold near $0.84, hovering close to the session low of $0.7855. Despite the pullback, analyst Ali Martinez said SUI-linked ETFs have posted 12 consecutive weeks of nonnegative net flows. Since June, the products have accumulated more than 9.30 million SUI tokens.
Network activity also picked up. On-chain data showed the Sui network processed more than 8.5 million transactions on Saturday, August 22, marking a new 90-day high as broader crypto markets recovered.
Across the wider spot-ETF landscape, SoSoValue data for August 24 showed $337.56 million of inflows into Bitcoin products and $115.57 million into Ethereum. Solana drew $33.49 million, XRP $13.82 million, and HYPE $5.74 million.
On the technical side, Altcoin Buzz said buyers appear to be returning but noted that SUI has yet to confirm a clean breakout, citing rising OBV, improving MACD momentum, and an RSI that still has room to climb. SUI remains below its 200-day EMA, identified as the key overhead hurdle. The outlet flagged $0.83 as the first major test, with a sustained move above that level strengthening the bullish breakout case.
CoinGecko data put near-term support in the $0.7855–$0.79 area. A break below that zone could open the door to $0.78. Bulls would need to reclaim $0.80 and $0.81 before making another run at $0.83. CoinGecko also recorded an intraday high of $0.8403 before SUI slipped back below the breakout level.
Separately, Phantom will end Sui support on September 24, a change Phantom and Sui described as a mutual decision. The timeline comes roughly 20 months after Phantom added Sui in January 2025. After the cutoff, users will no longer be able to view Sui balances, send transactions, swap assets, or connect to Sui applications through Phantom, though funds will remain on-chain and accessible via other Sui wallets.
Sui becomes the second network Phantom has recently scheduled for removal after Monad. Phantom set Monad support to end on Wednesday following a July announcement; Monad’s mainnet launched less than a year earlier.
Sui’s broader fundamentals remain mixed. DeFi activity has cooled, with DefiLlama estimating Sui’s total value locked at about $469 million, roughly 82% below the prior peak of $2.58 billion. The network has also experienced multiple outages over the past year.
In performance terms, CoinGecko data showed SUI up 23.3% over the past week, 15.9% over 14 days, and 11.8% over the past month.
