SlowMist: Attackers Recreate Notional Finance-Style Exploit on BSC, Malicious fCash Positions Await Maturity

SlowMist (@SlowMist_Team) said it has identified two attackers attempting to reproduce the recent Notional Finance exploit methodology on BNB Smart Chain (BSC). The firm noted the actors have already completed the preparation stage and opened malicious fCash positions using the same vulnerability pattern.
SlowMist said the exploit has not yet been fully carried out because the positions have not matured. Once they reach maturity, the attackers could settle the positions and withdraw assets from the protocol. The suspected target address is 0x0795E2cd771788572b61BeA45Abd6E9a8FC8D9F0.
SlowMist urged potentially affected projects to implement mitigation measures immediately, before the positions mature.
On Sept. 5, Notional Finance V1 contracts were exploited, leading to roughly $1.7 million in user losses. The impacted contracts have since been paused.
