Senator Ruben Gallego said lawmakers have already submitted bipartisan ethics language to the White House and are still awaiting a response. The party is pressing for enforceable limits preventing federal officials from profiting from digital assets while in office, arguing the current safeguards in the 616-page bill do not go far enough. Senate Majority Leader John Thune is still expected to move forward with a procedural vote this week. Republicans hold 53 seats and would need roughly seven Democrats to reach the 60-vote threshold. If the vote is not held or fails, the bill would likely be pushed back until at least September. On Polymarket, the implied odds of the CLARITY Act being signed into law by 2026 slipped to 23% this week from 27%.
