Huoxing Finance reports that a Reuters survey released on September 14 found most economists expect the Federal Reserve to raise the federal funds rate to 3.75%–4.00% on September 16. In the poll, 86 of 101 economists forecast a September hike. By comparison, a Reuters survey on September 9 showed 65 of 93 economists expected rates to stay unchanged in September.
Looking further out, 37 of 70 economists said they expect the Fed to raise rates at least twice more before the end of March 2027. In the September 9 survey, 21 of 82 economists shared that view. (Jinshi)
