Odaily Planet Daily reports that the Recall Foundation board has voted to shut the foundation down. After reviewing protocol adoption, operating costs and growth prospects, the board concluded that continued development is not commercially viable. The decision is unrelated to any hack or security incident. The foundation will destroy roughly 359 million RECALL tokens in its control, about 35.86% of total supply. Holders will receive no distribution, redemption or buyback. Remaining funds of about $3.7 million will go toward repaying creditors and covering liquidation costs. The app.recall.network site becomes read-only from November 30, with liquidation expected to wrap up in the first quarter of 2027.
