realtrumpcoins said in a statement on Aug. 30, cited by Huoxing Finance, that reports claiming "Trump Coins" launched, promoted, or authorized the issuance of any digital token are "completely false." The company said the information originated from malicious third-party activity. The statement added that Trump Coins has never authorized any digital tokens and said it will not launch, promote, or authorize any such tokens in the future. The company said it is cooperating with relevant law enforcement agencies to investigate the incident and pursue those responsible. Earlier, the meme coin GOLD was created on Solana at 7:38 yesterday. A related address controlled more than 82% of the token supply through allocations and post-launch purchases. Around 9:00, the Trump merchandise partnership account @realtrumpcoins1 posted a tweet containing GOLD's contract address, briefly pushing the token's market capitalization to $66 million. At about 11:48, the tweet was deleted and the associated address began selling its holdings. Within roughly 30 seconds, GOLD's market cap fell from $55 million to $1 million. The scammers continued offloading the remaining tokens, ultimately exiting the position and booking about 9,784.6 SOL in profit (around $1.01 million).
