Ostium said an attacker breached its offchain price-feed setup and pushed manipulated BTCUSD prices of $5,000 and $60,000. Using an initial 100 USDC, the attacker executed eight transactions and drained 23.75 million USDC from the OLP treasury in about five minutes. Ostium attributed the exploit to the absence of a multiparty approval mechanism within its offchain infrastructure. The stolen funds were swapped into ETH and routed through Tornado Cash.
