Osmosis: Nomic hit by nBTC double-spend; 22.65 BTC frozen in attacker wallet

Osmosis reported that an exploit on the Nomic chain enabled an attacker to double-spend nBTC and route counterfeit vouchers to Osmosis. The incident did not compromise Osmosis itself or IBC.
A total of 39.84 nBTC is impacted, equivalent to roughly 36% of the backing for Alloyed BTC. In response, Osmosis has paused nBTC-related inflows and outflows. An emergency upgrade has also frozen 22.65 BTC held in the attacker's address.
Osmosis said it will pursue governance approval to seize the frozen funds and, if needed, deploy BTC from the community pool to fully restore the asset's backing.
