Liquid Network Hit by "320M" Bitcoin Outflow in Alleged "White Hat" Incident

AI مارکیٹ کا خلاصہ
Liquid Network reported an unauthorized withdrawal of ~4,000 BTC (~$320M) from its federation wallet, prompting shutdown of bridge nodes and a sidechain pause. While the attackers claim "white hat" intent and other assets (e.g., USDT, DePix, RWAs) were reportedly unaffected, the incident elevates counterparty and operational risk for Liquid-linked BTC usage, likely worsening near-term sentiment around custodial/bridge security.

Liquid Network reported that individuals claiming to be white-hat hackers withdrew about 4,000 BTC:native from its federation wallet, an amount valued at roughly $320 million at the time. In response, the network disabled bridge nodes and paused its sidechain. Liquid said the actors later posted an onchain message asserting they were white hats. The federation wallet held more than 4,200 BTC prior to the withdrawal. Liquid added that other assets on the network, including USDT, DePix and RWAs, were not affected.
