Tether said KPMG U.S. has completed the company's first full independent audit of Tether International's 2025 financial statements, issuing an unqualified opinion. KPMG concluded the statements fairly present, in all material respects, Tether's financial position, results of operations and cash flows in accordance with U.S. GAAP.
Tether said the audit involved substantive testing of assets, liabilities and transactions, along with reviews of valuations and supporting documentation. The work also included a physical inspection of every gold bar held by Tether.
According to the audited financials, Tether's reserves exceeded its liabilities by $6.814 billion as of the end of 2025.
