According to reports from ChainCatcher on Aug. 6, Italy's largest bank, Intesa Sanpaolo, significantly adjusted its cryptocurrency exposure in the second quarter of 2024. A 13F filing revealed that as of June 30, the bank reduced its position in BlackRock’s Bitcoin spot ETF by 93.7% to 40,700 shares, while its Ethereum spot ETF holdings more than tripled to 349,600 shares. Simultaneously, Japan’s Financial Services Agency announced the establishment of a "Crypto Assets and Stablecoins Division" effective Aug. 7 to enhance regulatory oversight of the digital asset sector. In the mining industry, CleanSpark reported producing 586 BTC in July, bringing its year-to-date total to 4,310 BTC. The company sold 579 BTC at an average price of $66,133, maintaining a total treasury of 13,931 BTC and reaching a peak hash rate of 50 EH/s.
