BlockBeats reported on Sept. 1 that onchain researcher Rarma found Injective's mainnet stopped producing blocks for about 3 hours and 42 minutes on Aug. 31. The chain later resumed from block height 181,027,006 to 181,027,007 with no rollback. QuickNode's status logs also recorded a full halt in mainnet block production that day, followed by the rollout of an emergency patch. Rarma said the attacker repeatedly abused Injective's insurance fund and its permissionless binary options market mechanism, carrying out 299 related operations. The proceeds were ultimately consolidated into a single address, totaling about 1,979.8 ETH, worth roughly $4.88 million.
