Onchain analyst Ember (@EmberCN) said HyperLabs, the development team behind Hyperliquid, redeemed 3.75 million HYPE tokens about eight hours ago, valued at roughly $332 million. The tokens were distributed across five wallets before being consolidated into address 0x875...1d1, which is believed to belong to an institution that acquired HYPE from the team via an OTC transaction.
Of the total, 1.25 million HYPE tokens (around $110 million) have been redeposited for staking, while the remaining 2.5 million HYPE tokens (around $220 million) are still held in the wallet. Project members previously indicated on Discord that the redeemed tokens would be allocated to team members and then sold OTC to a single institution.
