Hydro One reported stronger second-quarter results, with profit attributable to shareholders rising to C$370 million and diluted earnings per share increasing to C$0.62, up from C$327 million and C$0.54 a year earlier. Revenue climbed to C$2.3 billion from C$2.07 billion. The company said the gains were driven mainly by Ontario Energy Board-approved rate increases and higher peak demand. Megan Telford became chief executive officer in June, succeeding the previous CEO, who retired.
