Harmony Protocol said it detected an abnormal minting incident involving ONE on Aug. 12, after an attacker exploited a flaw in cross-shard receipt validation to create counterfeit tokens. The team's investigation found the first mint at 4 billion ONE, while the latest on-chain reconstruction puts total unauthorized issuance at about 3.01 trillion ONE. Harmony has patched the issue and released Mainnet v2026.1.1, deployed at 14:30 (UTC+8) on Aug. 12. Bridge services have been suspended as the protocol works with partners to freeze funds. Harmony also said it is preparing a network rollback to block 92,730,034.
