Gold climbs past $4,200 after ADP reports 44,000 jobs added in July
AI مارکیٹ کا خلاصہ
Gold extended gains above $4,200 after ADP reported only 44k private-sector jobs in July versus 68k expected, signaling softer U.S. labor momentum. The downside surprise strengthened demand for defensive assets and rate-sensitive hedges, while the report's uptick in wage growth complicates the inflation backdrop. Near-term, markets may reprice growth and policy expectations, supporting precious metals and pressuring real yields.

Gold extended its overnight rally on Wednesday, breaking above $4,200 an ounce after ADP data showed weaker-than-expected private-sector hiring in July.
ADP said employers added 44,000 jobs last month, missing consensus expectations for a 68,000 increase. The report also flagged an acceleration in wage inflation.
"Job-changers are highly sensitive to real-time economic conditions, and their rapid pay growth implies supply constraints in parts of the labor market. Typical hiring patterns, meanwhile, are changing as employers react to shifting macroeconomic conditions," said Dr. Nela Richardson, Chief Economist at @ADP.
Spot gold was last at $4,210.50, up more than 3% on the day, building on a strong move higher seen overnight.
