Ethereum's Glamsterdam Upgrade Gets a Last-Minute Patch Ahead of Key Test

AI مارکیٹ کا خلاصہ
Ethereum developers pushed an emergency Prysm client fix ahead of the Glamsterdam test, resolving issues tied to raising the per-block gas limit. The change enables automatic scaling of maximum block capacity from 60M to 200M gas, with testnet validators expected to propose 200M-gas blocks once activated. As the largest upgrade since the Merge, successful testing reduces execution-layer risk and supports near-term confidence in Ethereum's scaling roadmap.

Ethereum developers have pushed an emergency software patch ahead of a critical test for the upcoming Glamsterdam upgrade, addressing an issue tied to raising the per-block gas limit. The fix, implemented in the Prysm client, enables the network to automatically expand maximum per-block computational capacity from 60 million gas to 200 million gas. On the day the upgrade activates, testnet validators will begin automatically proposing 200 million-gas blocks. Glamsterdam is Ethereum's largest upgrade since the 2022 Merge. As of publication, ETH was trading at $2,711.32.
