Ethena's synthetic dollar USDe briefly slid on Binance, with the USDE/USDT spot pair dropping to 0.9202 USDT around 1 p.m. on Sept. 22 before rebounding to roughly 0.9996 USDT.
The move occurred ahead of Binance's scheduled infrastructure wallet upgrade at 2 p.m. During the upgrade, deposits and withdrawals across all networks were paused for about an hour, while a broader system maintenance window is set to run through 5 p.m. Spot and futures trading were not affected.
At this stage, there is no indication that the USDe price dislocation was tied to Binance's maintenance.
