Coldcard Security Incident Sparks Broad Bitcoin Repositioning; Sub-1 BTC Transfers Hit Post-FTX High, CryptoQuant Says

AI مارکیٹ کا خلاصہ
CryptoQuant data show a sharp, security-driven reshuffling of Bitcoin holdings after the Coldcard incident: active addresses jumped to nearly 1 million and sub-1 BTC transfers hit the highest level since the FTX collapse, alongside elevated mempool activity and long-term holder spending. Small-holder exchange deposits also rose to the highest since early February, increasing near-term uncertainty around custody risk and liquidity flows, without implying definitive sell pressure.

Bitcoin holders shifted funds on a large scale following the Coldcard security incident, according to CryptoQuant. On July 31, daily active Bitcoin addresses climbed from about 645,000 to nearly 1 million. Transfers smaller than 1 BTC totaled roughly 39,600 BTC, the highest level since the FTX collapse. CryptoQuant also reported that exchange deposits from smaller holders rose to their highest level since early February. The firm noted sharp increases in long-term holder spending and in pending mempool transactions. The activity points to security-driven asset repositioning, CryptoQuant said, adding that transfers to exchanges do not necessarily signal selling.
