Crypto liquidations hit $1.19B in 24 hours; ETH's liquidation rate runs about 6x Bitcoin's
AI مارکیٹ کا خلاصہ
A $1.19B 24h liquidation wave—dominated by >$1B in longs—signals acute deleveraging and fragile risk appetite. ETH is the focal point: $356M liquidated vs BTC's $298M, and an ETH liquidation rate roughly six times BTC's on a market-cap basis, implying higher leverage concentration and volatility sensitivity. Macro rate anxiety, geopolitics, and AI-related warnings are cited as stressors; BTC's rebound triggered short-cover liquidations.

The crypto market saw $1.19 billion in liquidations over the past 24 hours, with more than $1 billion coming from long positions, according to Odaily Planet Daily. Ethereum liquidations totaled about $356 million, exceeding Bitcoin's roughly $298 million; adjusted for market-cap share, ETH's liquidation rate was estimated at around six times that of Bitcoin.
Leveraged trading has been pressured by rate concerns, geopolitical risks, and AI-related warnings. Bitcoin later rebounded to around $82,200 after Donald Trump said an attack on Iran before the midterm elections was off the table. In the following four hours, liquidations came to about $25 million, largely from short positions, CoinDesk reported.
