Specter Monitoring reported that wallets linked to Coinsbuy were drained of more than $7.9 million across Ethereum and TRON. The attacker subsequently routed the proceeds through exchanges and converted them into XMR in an apparent laundering effort.
Coinsbuy said that, with assistance from ChangeNOW, it has frozen a six-figure amount of the stolen assets. In response to the incident, the exchange temporarily paused deposits and withdrawals; both services have since resumed.
