Sept. 29 (PANews) — Bitwise said it has launched the Bitwise NEAR ETF in the United States. The fund, listed on NYSE Arca under the ticker NRR, began trading on Sept. 29 and is billed as the first spot NEAR exchange-traded product. The ETF carries a 0.75% expense ratio.
Bitwise said it will stake the NEAR tokens held by the fund internally and expects to capture about 5% of NEAR's average staking rewards.
Market data cited by the firm shows NEAR Intents, a trading protocol, has processed more than $32 billion in cumulative volume, up from under $1 billion a year ago. NEAR's market capitalization is now above $6 billion, and its inflation rate has recently been cut in half to 2.5%.
