Bitcoin briefly slid below $78,000 on Tuesday, hitting an intraday low of $77,603 before rebounding to about $78,600. As of 11:20 a.m. ET, its market capitalization stood at roughly $1.58 trillion.
The move triggered about $79 million in Bitcoin liquidations, with long positions making up around 90% of the total. Across the broader crypto market, liquidations reached $264 million, including $187 million in long positions and $77 million in shorts.
