Binance said a compromised DevOps laptop let an attacker access a service container and submit unauthorized withdrawals. It found no private key leak, estimated total impact at about $6.3B and has frozen about $3B onchain. Binance suspended deposits and withdrawals, revoked the affected address authorization and will cover losses via its SAFU fund and company funds. User funds are safe.
