Strategy's latest 13F disclosures show institutional investors materially increased exposure to MSTR in the second quarter of 2026, with 12 of the company's 15 largest holders adding to positions. The filings, which reflect ownership changes through June 30, 2026, indicate the combined value of holdings among the largest investors rose by roughly $1.2 billion. Wu Blockchain highlighted the updated shareholder figures based on the company's 13F data. Additions were broad-based across major asset managers, while only three institutions cut exposure during the period. Capital International Investors stayed the largest institutional shareholder. Its stake was valued at about $3.49 billion, representing a 9.4% ownership position, after adding roughly $346 million. Vanguard increased exposure through two entities: Vanguard Portfolio Management added about $61 million, and Vanguard Capital Management added another $86 million. Goldman Sachs recorded the biggest quarterly increase among major holders, purchasing approximately $407 million of MSTR shares and lifting its position to nearly $555 million by quarter-end. BlackRock also added across multiple portfolios. BlackRock Institutional Trust increased holdings by about $84 million, and BlackRock Asset Management Ireland added roughly $98 million. State Street Investment Management raised its position by approximately $51 million, while Morgan Stanley Investment Management added about $15 million. During August trading, MSTR was priced around $93, with the stock continuing to trade as a Bitcoin-linked equity proxy tied closely to the broader crypto market. On the selling side, Capital Research Global Investors posted the largest reduction, trimming about $462 million. UBS Financial Services reduced its position by roughly $142 million, and Geode Capital Management cut by around $5 million. Despite those declines, net buying dominated the quarter. Wu Blockchain linked the pattern of institutional participation to Strategy's Bitcoin treasury strategy: the company held more than 840,000 BTC on its balance sheet as of August 2026, maintaining its position as the world's largest corporate Bitcoin holder.
