Altcoin Market Cap Falls to $1.4 Trillion as Bitcoin Drops Below $100,000

The altcoin market capitalization contracted to $1.4 trillion from $1.8 trillion in late October, erasing $400 billion in value as Bitcoin fell below $100,000. Major tokens including Ethereum, XRP, and BNB recorded weekly losses ranging from 1.8% to over 6%. Technical indicators show 72 of the top 100 cryptocurrencies now trade at least 50% below their all-time highs, according to Galaxy Research data.
