Binance disputes Reuters MiCA report, says EU licensing process continues

Reuters reported, citing people familiar with the matter, that Binance may have to stop serving EU customers as early as next month if a key MiCA-related license request is rejected ahead of the June 30 deadline. Binance said it has worked with regulators for about 18 months and has not received any formal indication from Greece's HCMC that its application will be denied. CEO Richard Teng added on June 16, 2026 that users' assets remain secure and said an update will come before June 30, 2026.
