Coins.ph has extended the Philippines’ national QR Ph network to support bitcoin and ethereum, in addition to USDT and USDC, enabling crypto spending across nearly 700,000 merchants. Early program activity recorded thousands of retail payments totalling millions of Philippine pesos, with users paying for items such as groceries, tuition, and appliances. Coins.ph is also seeking BSP approval to exit a regulatory sandbox and potentially list its peso-backed PHPC stablecoin within the same QR Ph ecosystem.

Bitcoin traded around $65,844 on Monday, up 2.1% in 24 hours and above $65,500 after the U.S. and Iran agreed to end hostilities and reopen the Strait of Hormuz. Brent crude fell more than 4% toward $83 a barrel as risk assets rose, while ether climbed to $1,721 and solana to $71. Analysts said the bounce could still face headwinds from ETF outflows and Strategy's recent sale of 32 BTC.

DeFi's total value locked has slid from nearly $178 billion to around $72.5 billion since its late-2025 high, even as stablecoin supply remains near $315 billion. The pullback spans lending, liquid staking, and bridge protocols, pointing to tighter risk selection rather than a breakdown of DeFi infrastructure. Staking levels remain firm, with about one-third of Ethereum supply staked and Solana staking near 68%.

Ethereum Foundation privacy project Kohaku lead Nico said Ethereum accounts could start being prepared for a post-quantum era without a hard fork. The account-level approach is estimated to cost about $0.07 per account to deploy, with an initial review completed with Fable and more audits planned. Researchers are also exploring SPHINCS- style verification on the EVM, including a Solidity verifier targeting roughly 150K gas.

Earlier this week, Tether's USDT briefly moved ahead of Ethereum by market capitalization, with trackers placing both assets in the $183–188B band during the crossover. One snapshot showed USDT at $187B versus ETH at $186B, a gap of under $1B, before Ethereum returned to second place as prices stabilized. The episode reflected continued USDT issuance alongside ongoing ETH price weakness rather than a sudden supply change on Ethereum.

BlackRock's spot Bitcoin and Ethereum ETFs posted a combined net outflow of about $333.6 million over the past week. Most of the pressure came from iShares Bitcoin Trust (IBIT), which saw roughly $355 million leave over five days, even as late-week inflows on June 11 ($30.3 million) and June 12 ($57.7 million) signaled a partial rebound. BlackRock's spot Ethereum ETFs were steadier, with ETHA down about $7.2 million and ETHB up $28.6 million for a combined net inflow near $21.4 million.

XRP exchange-traded funds extended their lead in weekly net inflows for a fifth consecutive week, logging $10.68 million for the period ending June 12. Over the same stretch, Bitcoin ETFs saw a $319 million weekly outflow, while Ethereum and Solana ETFs posted $15 million and $4 million in outflows, respectively. XRP ETF cumulative net inflows reached $1.44 billion as weekly traded value totaled $61.22 million and net assets stood at $978.86 million.

Daan Crypto Trades said ETH's latest selloff pushed it to a 14-month low of $1,500 and argued current levels look "finally attractive" for long-term accumulation. He also cautioned that bear markets can last longer than expected and suggested keeping "dry powder" for surprises. Separately, Ali Martinez cited Glassnode data showing nearly 500,000 ETH (about $800 million) left exchanges over one week, while warning a possible bottom could be near $700.

Standard Chartered and Charles Schwab are both focusing on the $59,000–$60,000 area as a key Bitcoin support zone, with BTC near $64,000 on June 14. Standard Chartered said the June 5 dip to about $59,000 was the cycle low and reiterated year-end targets of $100,000 for Bitcoin and $4,000 for Ethereum, while Schwab described the market as range-bound between $60,000 and $80,000.

Robert Kiyosaki told followers on X that holding cash as savings is a losing strategy, arguing that its purchasing power erodes as money supply expands. In his June 12, 2026 post, he contrasted how long it would take to spend $1,000,000,000,000 at $1 per minute with how quickly he says the Fed and U.S. Treasury can create that amount. He urged people to consider gold, silver, Bitcoin and Ethereum instead of cash.
