VanEck has introduced what it calls the first U.S. spot BNB ETF, listed on Nasdaq under the ticker VBNB with a 0.39% management fee and BNB held in cold storage. CoinMarketCap flagged the announcement on May 28, as the broader crypto market faced pressure. A 30-day snapshot taken around 11:17 UTC on May 29, 2026 showed BNB closing at $640.13, up 1.8%, with a BTC-relative reading of ₿0.00869.

Vaneck has rolled out the first U.S. spot BNB ETF, listing VBNB on Nasdaq on May 28 and opening regulated BNB exposure through standard brokerage accounts. The fund started with $1.02 million in net assets and holds BNB in cold storage with Anchorage Digital Bank as custodian. Vaneck said staking rewards are not included at launch but could be enabled later if legal and tax risks are manageable.

VanEck said on May 28 it launched VBNB, a U.S. exchange-traded product designed to give direct spot exposure to BNB by holding the token rather than using futures or synthetic structures. The prospectus lists Anchorage Digital Bank as custodian and says staking rewards may be added later, while also flagging Binance-related regulatory sensitivity and a validator set of 21 active validators as key risks.

VanEck launched the VanEck BNB ETF (VBNB) on Thursday, positioning it as the first U.S. exchange-traded product intended to track BNB's spot price moves. The prospectus says the Nasdaq-listed shares are physically backed by BNB held in cold storage with Anchorage Digital Bank and charge a 0.39% sponsor fee. VanEck first filed for a BNB ETF in May 2025, while Grayscale is also pursuing approval for a spot BNB ETF; both filings exclude staking at launch but include conditional staking language.

Binance Wallet said it launched Event Rush on May 25, 2026, a third-party dApp on BNB Chain that lets users trade onchain event tokens tied to real-world outcomes and settle in USDT. The product uses bonding-curve pricing to adjust token prices with supply and demand, and users can either trade before settlement or hold winning tokens to share 100% of the collateral pool.

Uniswap governance has published Proposal 96 to expand UNIfication by turning on protocol fee collection and routing those fees into UNI burns on BNB Chain, Polygon and Celo. Voting is scheduled to open on May 24, 2026, using the expedited process. UNI was trading at $3.30, down 92.7% from its May 2021 all-time high of $44.97.

BNB Chain said a proof-of-concept upgrade to post-quantum cryptography kept BSC operating but cut throughput by roughly 40% on May 19, 2026. Cross-region performance fell from about 4,973 transactions per second to around 2,997, mainly due to much larger transaction payloads and block sizes rather than signature verification delays.

BNB Chain completed a live post-quantum migration experiment on BSC, adding ML-DSA-44 signatures and pqSTARK aggregation while keeping wallets, SDKs, RPCs, and address compatibility intact. Under production-like conditions, native transfer throughput fell nearly 40% (4,973 TPS to 2,997 TPS), gas throughput dropped about 50%, and block sizes expanded almost 18x toward ~2 MB, highlighting scalability tradeoffs.

BNB Smart Chain developers completed a large-scale test of post-quantum cryptography on a live-style blockchain setup, swapping transaction signatures to NIST’s ML-DSA-44 and upgrading vote aggregation with pqSTARK proofs. The shift lifted average transaction size from about 110 bytes to roughly 2.5KB and expanded blocks from ~130KB to nearly 2MB at similar load, while throughput declined 40%-50%. The team said the results show quantum-safe migration is feasible with today’s standards, despite clear performance trade-offs.

Iran’s largest crypto exchange Nobitex processed at least $2.3 billion on Tron and BNB Chain since January 1, 2023. The activity continued after February when Trump’s war began, including at least $22.6 million on BNB Chain and at least $550,000 on Tron. World Liberty Financial said it has no relationship with Nobitex and does not own, operate, or control Tron.
