Analysts say some altcoins can still make it through the bear market. CryptoQuant CEO Ki-Young Ju argues that “narrative-only” tokens are effectively over, while projects with real businesses and revenue may still be worth holding long term. Selling pressure across altcoins has reached a five-year extreme, even as a few outliers continue to outperform.

Altcoin selling accelerated over the past 12 months, culminating in peak selling pressure in June. The move reflected traders shifting liquidity away from a broad set of tokens. Market activity has become more selective, with only certain assets outperforming the wider trend.

Greece’s Hellenic Capital Market Commission (HCMC) is preparing to reject Binance’s application for a MiCA license, Reuters reported. If Binance is not authorized, it could lose the ability to serve customers across all 27 EU markets from July 1, 2026. Binance said it has received no formal rejection notice and that its application is fully compliant.

VanEck is pitching its spot BNB ETF (VBNB) as a product tied to BNB Chain's measurable on-chain usage rather than a simple crypto beta trade. The fund launched on Nasdaq on May 28, 2026, and is reported to have about $2 million in AUM with a 0.39% sponsor fee, while VanEck cites 33 million monthly active users, 2.1 million daily active users, and roughly $160 million in annual revenue for the network.

Bitcoin rose from $62,300 to $63,700 in roughly an hour after President Donald Trump said the US would not carry out scheduled strikes on Iran. In the same window, oil fell sharply from above $91 to below $87, while ETH moved back near $1,700, BNB returned to $600, and SOL gained 5% on the day to $67.

Audiera's BEAT token climbed more than 60% on June 11, printing a new all-time high of $9.34 and pushing its market capitalization to $2.68 billion. The move followed an AI SocialFi partnership announcement and coincided with $8.2 million in short liquidations out of $10.1 million total wiped positions. Commentators also questioned BEAT's token distribution, including claims that the team controls at least 84% of supply.

On June 8, Coinbase Derivatives introduced HYPE and BNB futures, giving Hyperliquid's native token regulated futures trading access for the first time. BHYP saw a $2.9 million outflow on June 5 after earlier inflows of $22.1 million (May 29) and $19 million (May 26), bringing cumulative inflows to $91.2 million, while another $1.8 million later returned the fund to net inflows. Separately, Bitwise transferred 50,480 HYPE (about $3.28 million) to FalconX while still holding 1.55 million HYPE valued near $99 million.

Binance said its newly launched U.S. stock-trading service exceeded $400 million in assets under management one week after it went live on June 1. The offering gives eligible non-U.S. users access to 7,000+ U.S.-listed stocks and ETFs with zero commissions and fractional buying starting from $5, funded via USDT, USDC, or BNB.

SAHARA fell nearly 60% within hours on June 9, briefly touching $0.07 as large on-chain transfers fueled fears of insider selling. Sahara AI said team and investor allocations were unchanged on-chain, and attributed the movements to liquidity provisioning for its Chainlink CCIP bridge between Ethereum and BNB Chain. Attention is also turning to a scheduled unlock of about 1.03 billion SAHARA tokens on June 26, 2026.

Humanity Protocol said wallets linked to the project were drained for more than $32 million on June 9, sending its H token down nearly 90% over the following 24 hours. Founder Terence Kwok attributed the incident to a compromised private key, while investigator ZachXBT publicly questioned the explanation and suggested it may have been "possibly staged."
