Bitcoin slides to $61,310 as $636M long liquidations drive $1.73B wipeout

Bitcoin fell to $61,310 late Wednesday, rebounded toward $64,600, and later traded just under $64,000, still down 3.2% over 24 hours and 14% over seven days. The sell-off sparked $1.73 billion in leveraged liquidations, including more than $803 million in bitcoin positions, with $636 million from longs. Bitget Wallet’s Lacie Zhang said continued outflows could leave room for a retest of $55,000 to $57,000.
