Treasury Secretary Says Trump Highly Likely to Name Fed Chair Before Dec. 25
U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent said on Nov. 25 that a second and final round of interviews for the Federal Reserve Chair position would be conducted that day, with five strong candidates under consideration, Jin10 reports. Bessent indicated the likelihood of President Trump announcing the new Fed Chair before Dec. 25 is very high. The selection process for the central bank leadership position is expected to conclude within the next month.
