Bitmine Chairman: Crypto Markets May Need 6–8 Weeks to Recover From Market Maker Balance Sheet Stress

Tom Lee, Chairman of Bitmine, said crypto markets could require 6–8 weeks to stabilize following balance sheet gaps at one or two market makers, with conditions potentially easing after Nov. 27. Lee noted on Nov. 16 that current weakness stems from significant gaps on market maker balance sheets, with larger players attempting to trigger liquidations and pressure BTC prices. He emphasized the pain is short-term and will not alter ETH's supercycle driven by Wall Street building on blockchain infrastructure, while cautioning against leverage use to avoid liquidation risk.
