Micron commits $24 billion to new Singapore NAND fab to meet rising AI memory demand

Micron Technology plans to invest an additional $24 billion in Singapore over the next decade to build a new NAND memory facility and expand AI-focused chip production. The company expects the plant to help ease global NAND shortages, create around 1,600 jobs in Singapore, and begin wafer manufacturing in the second half of 2028.
