Singapore Police Freeze Over S$150M in Assets Linked to Huione Group's Chen Zhi

Singapore authorities issued prohibition orders on assets exceeding S$150 million (approximately RMB 800 million) connected to Chen Zhi and associates of Cambodia's Huione Group, Caixin reported on Oct. 31. The seized assets include six properties and financial holdings such as bank accounts, securities accounts, and cash. The enforcement follows mid-October charges filed by U.S. and U.K. authorities against Chen Zhi, the alleged leader of a large-scale transnational fraud operation, along with the seizure of approximately $15 billion worth of Bitcoin in his possession. Singapore police said Chen Zhi and his associates are not currently in Singapore, and the investigation remains ongoing.
