Trust Wallet to verify claims after December 25 hack; 2,596 vs around 5,000

Trust Wallet has begun verifying wallet ownership to filter reimbursement submissions after its browser extension was compromised on December 25. CEO Eowyn Chen said 2,596 addresses were affected but around 5,000 claims were filed, and losses totaled $7 million. The company is prioritizing accuracy over speed while investigations continue.
